Canton Land Conservation Trust Celebrates its 50th Anniversary
We are officially 50 years old!!!
Sat. Sept. 10, the Canton Land Conservation Trust celebrated 50 years of service to the community. Over 100 members attended the celebration at Ski Sundown, where they ate, drank, danced and enjoyed each other's company. The evening included a photo contest where all attendees voted to choose the winners from an impressive display of finalists. Attendees also viewed a video tribute to the land trust created by Matt Vinick. Connecticut Land Conservation Council Executive Director Amy Paterson spoke on the value of the land trust and engaged the audience in a question-and-answer session. Then it was back to eating, dancing and drinking, although rumor has it some may have taken a moonlight hike up the slopes.
