Celebrate America's 250th Through the Old Forests of New England

This fall, the Simsbury Public Library will host the Fall Old Forest Film Series in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. The series explores the beauty and importance of New England's old-growth forests and is presented in partnership with New England Forests, Real Art Ways, Simsbury Grange, Land Conservation Trust, Avon, Granby, Simsbury and Traprock Ridge Land Trusts, and additional community partners.

Films will be shown one Thursday each month: September 17, October 22, November 19, and December 17 at the Simsbury Public Library, 725 Hopmeadow St. Simsbury CT.

Each evening begins with a reception at 6:00 pm, followed by a one-hour film at 6:30 pm and a brief Q&A with filmmaker Ray Asselin. Additional details and registration information will be available soon. Please register on the Simsbury Public Library website: www.simsbury.info/.
